"My visual impairment limits the amount of time I can spend reading. Read&Write software has empowered me to study for longer periods of time. I use the scanning facility excessively; it is excellent for scanning in chapters of textbooks. I can have the text read back to me which means it eases the strain on my eyes and prevents this leading to headaches."

Aimee Keay, Full-time University of Sussex student

Teacher's Toolkit

The Teacher's Toolkit allows teachers to control which features to add or delete from the Read&Write GOLD toolbar, configure students' settings, monitor the progress of students, collate spelling error logs, and analyse usage patterns. Teachers can also prepare the toolbars with an "Exam" profile which would restrict the functionality of Read&Write GOLD during an exam.
