Job Overview

Working in the software development team in our new Antrim offices, the JavaScript developer will work on a range of our online products. We work at the leading edge of end-user software in Northern Ireland, developing software that literally changes lives. The latest cool tech and techniques is where we work, and user experience is always to the forefront of what we do.

This role is being recruited for the continued expansion of our development team. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the design and implementation of software projects which the company will allocate. Continuous support for internal company procedures including, but not restricted to, quality assurance systems.
  • Continuous monitoring of new technologies with a view to identifying new opportunities for the Company.
  • Liaison with 3rd party suppliers of technology components as and when appropriate
  • Liaison with Quality Assurance department and other Company departments as and when appropriate.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Strong JavaScript development experience
  • Experience with one or more modern Javascript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc.)
  • HTML5/CSS3+
  • Experience of creating complex HTML user interfaces
  • Knowledge of building and consuming REST APIs
  • 2+ years commercial experience

Desirable Criteria

  • 2.1 degree (or equivalent) or better in computing
  • Knowledge of ECMAScript 2015+ language improvements
  • Knowledge of building and consuming REST APIs
  • Experience in using pre-processing & build tools (SASS/LESS/TypeScript/Babel/Webpack)
  • Experience with cloud-based server architecture (Azure/AWS)
  • Experience with working in an agile environment
  • Experience in creating accessible HTML and user interfaces
