Texthelp CEO awarded ‘Lifetime Achievement’ accolade by leading industry network

Our CEO, Mark McCusker has been honoured at the ETIN Education Symposium in Denver today.

Mark, who has led Texthelp for almost twenty years as CEO, has been awarded the ETIN Lifetime Achievement award in recognition of his lifelong commitment to bettering the lives of others through the development of education technology.

Since joining the company in 1998 when Texthelp had just six employees, Mark has directed the rapid expansion of the company, which now employs over 135 people and has grown to serve markets as diverse as the UK, USA and Australia. He has also overseen the company attracting acclaim within the industry, having been recognised in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 for 14 consecutive years, and helping to secure partnerships with the likes of Microsoft, Apple and Adobe. In 2016, Texthelp was also recognised as Google Technology’s Partner of the Year.

The accolade also recognises Mark’s directorships outside of Texthelp, including with the social enterprise Camara, which sends renovated computers to schools in developing countries and the British Assistive Technology Association, which promotes and raises awareness of UK assistive technology abroad.

Speaking about the award win, Mark commented:

“I’m very pleased and honoured to have been awarded ETIN’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Through my work with Texthelp, I have been able to pursue my passion of promoting the use and development of educational software to provide literacy support for disadvantaged students. Texthelp continues to put this vision first as we look to expand further in the future and reach as many people as we can.”
