Our commitment to accessibility and inclusion


We want to highlight the importance of access and inclusion for everyone and share our recent commitments.




Imagine for a moment that you have dyslexia, and you find it extremely difficult to pay a tax bill online. Or English is not your first language, and you struggle to read an induction document in your new place of work. Everyone is different, and everyone has their own challenges. 

Our recent commitment

We’re delighted to announce that we recently signed the Business Disability Forum (BDF) Accessible Technology Charter, cementing our commitment to good practice on ICT accessibility. Here are our ten commitments: 
  • Appoint an executive level ICT Champion
  • Ensure that employees understand how technology can liberate
  • Provide reasonable adjustments to staff who need them
  • Give our staff the disability know-how to meet the needs of our stakeholders
  • Consult with disabled employees, customers and experts to ensure that we understand the impact of our technology 
  • Provide reasonable personalisation of technology
  • Establish a measurable Accessibility Maturity Model
  • Promote an ICT development lifecycle ensuring the needs of disabled staff & customers 
  • Consider accessibility in all procurement decisions and with all supply partners
  • Continuously improve our accessibility

Understanding how technology can liberate

It is essential that employees understand the importance of technology. Small changes can be made to any organisation to better enable both colleagues and customers with or without a disability. These include: 

Personalisation of technology

Everybody is different, and everyone requires different ways of working, or navigating the web. Having the ability to personalise technology based on individual accessibility or productivity requirements would be beneficial for the customer, the employee AND the organisation.

Appointing an ICT Champion 

Appointing an ICT champion in your organisation will ensure that access is not forgotten about.  The appointed person will raise awareness and always strive for improvements. They will also report back to senior management. The ICT champion doesn’t necessarily have to have a disability, someone with enough passion and determination to make changes is all that is required.   

We take digital access and inclusion seriously,

We’re extremely proud of our commitment to the Accessible Technology Charter. It is our public declaration that we take digital access and inclusion extremely seriously - for our employees, customers AND, most importantly our users, as it is always at the forefront when driving product roadmaps for our inclusion software. 

We also firmly believe that assistive software can double up as a great productivity tool and that by making it widely available to every member of staff, there's no stigma associated with using it.
