New update: Talk&Type comes to Read&Write for Windows
This week, we are excited to announce the release of a brand new speech-to-text feature in Read&Write for Windows.
The new speech-to-text feature in Read&Write for Windows makes it even easier to transcribe your words into text. Known to our Education users as Talk&Type, and now being introduced to our Workplace users as Dictation, this new feature looks like a headset on your Read&Write toolbar.
No voice or microphone training is required - just click the icon and start speaking. Powered by online Microsoft speech recognition services, it works faster, more accurately, and in more places than ever before.
Use it to dictate into applications like Microsoft Word, Word Online, Outlook, and even text boxes within web pages or Learning Management Systems. Talk&Type (or Dictation) makes it even easier to transcribe your thoughts into words on a screen, especially for users who may struggle with typing.

To get started with the new Talk&Type (or Dictation) feature, you’ll need to be sure you’re on Windows 10 and have a secure internet connection.
Working offline? You can still access the offline Speech Recognition feature on the toolbar by enabling it from the Read&Write settings menu.
