New Chromebook Tablets!

Since their debut, schools have chosen Chromebooks because they are fast, easy-to-use and manage, shareable, secure and affordable. Google for Education has listened carefully to feedback from educators around the world, and one common theme is that they want all the benefits of Chromebooks in a tablet form.

And of course they have delivered.

Starting today, with the new Acer Chromebook Tab 10. It’s the first education tablet made for Chrome OS, and gives schools the easy management and shareability of Chromebook laptops. With touch and stylus functionality, this lightweight device is perfect for students creating multimedia projects and also comes with a world of immersive experiences with Google Expeditions AR.

The great thing for educators is that they will be able to manage these new Chromebook tablets in the same way that they manage their existing Chromebook laptops.

Perhaps the best thing about these tablets is that they will run many of the learning apps and extensions educators have come to rely on.  Apps like Read&Write, Fluency Tutor and EquatIO will run on Acer’s new tablet just like on a Chromebook. You’ll also be able to run native Android apps too.

The Acer Chromebook Tab 10 will be on sale through education resellers this spring - speak to your local reseller for more information.  We especially look forward to hearing how you are using Texthelp tools on these new devices - let us know!
