It’s never been a more exciting, yet challenging time to be an educator in Texas. Classrooms are more diverse and teachers are more timestretched than ever. Alongside this, there are an increasing number of tech tools out there which can help teachers address the needs of all of their students. But how can these tools be integrated into lessons?

To help with this, Texthelp are taking a year long statewide focus on literacy and technology in Texas.

What will we be doing?

Meeting Educators

We’ll be attending lots of great events this year, meeting Texas educators and finding out more about the challenges they face.

Here’s a handy list to show you where we plan to visit - we’d love to see you there!

(Texthelp is a proud partner of the EdTechTeam. If you are planning on attending any of the below EdTech Summits, you can access 10% discount on each single registration by quoting 'texthelp' when you book via the EdTechTeam website.)

We hosted a special event for Texas Educators (who are using Google Apps for Education) at the RAC Conference Center, Houston, on April 26th.

The Interactive Day of Learning brought Texas Educators together with top experts on Literacy and tech tools that can help ALL students in the classroom and in assessments (regardless of ability).

The agenda and speaker bios are available here

We've had some great feedback from delegates:

"I learned something valuable from every presentation. The diversity of presentations was great".

"All of the information that can be applied to the classroom (actual not just google classroom) is extremely useful."

"This was VERY informative and has given me a renewed outlook on making material accessible. I can't wait to go back and share with my district".
