In response, we’ve listened to your feedback and are dedicated to revamping OrbitNote using state-of-the-art technology. This revamp will take everything you know and love about OrbitNote and make it even better. We think you’re going to love it!
How can I access the new OrbitNote?
We’re continuing to refine the product to ensure it meets our high standards and your expectations, so we’re not recommending that anyone switch to the updated version just yet. On this page, you’ll be able to get a sense of what is coming with the OrbitNote revamp.

Highlighters:
Collect highlights from text in documents or the web for summarizing research and to create bibliographies.
Shapes Drawing:
For creating circles, rectangles and lines with customized lines and fill color.
Freehand Drawing:
To scribble and draw on your PDF to complete assignments or highlight important information.
Text:
Lets you type text on top of the PDF.
Add image:
Add an image to your PDF document.
One-click OCR scanning:
Readable image-only PDFs at the touch of a button.
Literacy tools
Dictionary:
Provides definitions to improve comprehension and writing. Definitions can even be read aloud.
Picture Dictionary:
Displays images from Widgit® Symbols to help support fluency and understanding.
Text to Speech:
Reads words, passages, or whole documents aloud with easy-to-follow dual color highlighting.
Screenshot Reader:
Converts inaccessible text to accessible text through OCR.
Screen Mask
Tints your screen and provides a reading light that follows your mouse pointer, to help improve focus.
Translator:
Allows single words to be translated into a wide selection of languages. Language can be selected in the Options menu.

Frequently asked questions
- Why is the new, revamped OrbitNote not available to customers at this time?
Following feedback from customers, the decision was made to keep the original version of OrbitNote in place for now.
Our product development team has been hard at work building ‘feature parity,’ which means having comparable features from the old version, available in the new version. There are some very important features that are not available yet.
- When will the OrbitNote revamp be available to customers?
We are still actively developing a better, more robust product. We plan to make that product available to customers in the coming months.

- When will we know more?
We are working on a new product roadmap right now, with new priorities in place. We’ll communicate the roadmap with customers as soon as it becomes available.
Additionally, we will work with customers to determine when it makes sense to transition to the new, revamped version of OrbitNote.
We’re committed to making this process as smooth as possible.

- When the revamped version is ready, what will the migration look like?
Once you're prepared to migrate, we will make a small change at our end.
Following this, all your users can continue to access OrbitNote in the same way as before, but will be directed to the revamp. This should happen within a few hours, and may be instantaneous.
