On Demand: Social Justice and Mathematics

Mission Math: On demand

About the session

Thinking about Culturally Responsive Pedagogy has been at the forefront of many educators' minds for some time now. However, with the Pandemic it has shown us that discussions about equity, privilege and race are needed more than ever. In this presentation, we will discuss the role of CRP in a global Math context. We will look at what Social Justice Math is? How we can incorporate it seamlessly into our programs and how we can have relevant and meaningful conversations with our students about the world around them. Come join me as we uncover and learn what is Social Justice Math.
