We're sunsetting Fluency Tutor in December 2024

After careful consideration, we've made the difficult decision to say goodbye to Fluency Tutor at the end of 2024.

This hasn’t been an easy decision for us.

We’re committed to providing products that align closely with our mission to help everyone understand and be understood. And we’ve also been sharpening our focus as an inclusive technology company so we can better support more teachers and learners across the globe.

As we evaluate our product range, we realise that Fluency Tutor, while being a valuable tool, sit slightly outside of this scope.

In recent years, we've also started to experience a decline in the number of people using Fluency Tutor, compared to our other tools. With this in mind, we'll be directing our efforts towards enhancing and developing our other offerings, such as Read&Write, Equatio, and OrbitNote, which we believe offer more comprehensive solutions for reading and writing.

Unfortunately that means that from December 2023, we will no longer be accepting new sign ups to Fluency Tutor.

What does this mean for existing customers in Australia and New Zealand?

Over the next twelve months we will offer you:

  • Continued Support: We will continue to provide full support for Fluency Tutor until the end of 2024.
  • Transition Assistance: Our team is ready to help you transition to build an even more comprehensive literacy solution for your students. We’ll be reaching out with some exciting news on this in the coming weeks. We know you loved Fluency Tutor for its focus on building oral fluency. What we’ve planned will mean that these key focus areas are brought together more comprehensively. For you - you’ll have access to more solutions and be even better equipped to support your students in the year ahead.
  • Practice Reading Aloud: Don’t forget that every student already using Read&Write has access to ‘Practice Reading Aloud’ in their toolbar, so reading practice and teacher submission is right there and will continue to be supported. Check out this link to learn more.
