Sherry F. Morton Ed.D

Curriculum Specialist at Region 7 Education Service Center

I had the joy of being a classroom teacher for 30 years in three states, including Virginia, Tennessee, and Texas. My professional career took a different turn after completing my Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction. Since 2013, I have worked with secondary math teachers in East Texas through Region 7 Education Service Center. Quite a bit has changed since I started teaching in 1983. One thing is constant, kids are still kids! I have yet to meet a child that could not open a present, each one opens it differently and at different rates. Education is present, that every child can open. My personal life is blessed with my husband of 29 years, and our 24-year-old son. God has blessed me so very much and I hope I can share that blessing with others.
