Meet our speakers

Sandy Oliver

currently works as an Assistive Technology Specialist in West Contra Costa Unified School District. She works with, coaches, and trains staff and students from preschool through adult transition programs.

Mary Ann Lafosse

has a BA in Child Development and a MS in Curriculum Development. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Childhood. Currently her work as English Learner Multilingual Coordinator is informed by the intersection of research, policy, and practice. She believes all students, in particular marginalized students, should talk more in the classroom.

Cori Brooks

taught for over 13 years in San Diego, CA ranging from grades 2-8 before moving into educational sales roles where she works with districts, county offices, and state agencies all across California partnering to increase student academic success.

Kati McIlroy

is an Assistive Technology Specialist and an Occupational Therapist who has worked in school districts for over 15 years in Southern California and currently works at Texthelp as an Business Development Manager. She collaborates with district professionals and educators to integrate technologies that help students access the curriculum, support digital learning and helps to implement UDL across school districts. By conducting presentations and trainings at schools and conferences, Kati helps spread the word about how Universal Design for Learning opens the world to students and creates lifelong learners.
